Seven (7) new county juvenile courts have been awarded two-year grants for up to $150,000 per year to develop a community collaborative that addresses the holistic needs of youth and families and decreases reliance on secure detention, and prevents further penetration of youth into the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Two (2) county juvenile courts have also been awarded one-year grants up to $50,000 to expand their community partnership efforts within their existing assessment centers.
