Facilities, Programs, and Operations

The Division of Facilities, Programs, and Operations oversees five bureaus touching on several areas related to the habilitation of our youth and the safety and security of our facilities. They include Education, Medical, Behavioral Health, Programs and Unit Management, and Security Operations.

A number of programs in the facilities support the well-being and habilitation of our youth. These programs include the empirically supported interventions including New Freedom-Phoenix curriculum, Thinking for a Change (T4C), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), and Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS) as well as others that promote prosocial decision making like Victim Awareness.

Complementary to this menu of programming is the Positive Response Incentive Driven Environment (PRIDE) behavior management system, family engagement initiatives, and collaborations with volunteers and mentors.
